Network ICE currently has no products for Macintosh.
Should I be worried about hackers?
Apple has concentrated on producing the easiest-to-use systems
on the market, primarily by removing unnecessary complexity.
Since more complexity usually means more security risks,
Apple computers are significantly safer from hacker
attackers than other systems.
For example, an Army division recently moved all their
web servers from WinNT platforms to the Macintosh
platform for exactly this reason.
In general, hackers prefer to target UNIX systems and
Windows systems. They almost never target Macintosh
users.
Are there similar products for the Macintosh?
AppleShare IP contains a feature called "TCP Filtering".
