We are currently working on a solution to this problem. In the meantime,
the easiest workaround is to go to the directory where the product is
installed and execute "blackd stop", or kill the "blackd.exe"
task running in the background.
On Windows 95 or 98, go to the start button in the lower left side
of your monitor window, and select "MS-DOS Prompt" from the
Programs menu. This will bring up a command window. In the
command window, type the following commands at the '>' prompt:
cd "\Program files\Network ICE\BlackICE"
blackd stop
exit
This will stop the background process on Windows 95 systems.
It is also wise to exit the user interface. To do this, right
click on the shield icon in the tool tray in the lower right
corner of your monitor window. Select the Exit command, which will
close down the user interface.
Completing these two steps will allow the defragmentation process to complete.
