With the product installed, I cannot access my floppy drive.
This article applies to: BlackICE Defender.
SUMMARY
Under certain system configurations, installing the product
causes your floppy drive (drive A:) to be
inaccessible.
DETAILS
On some Windows NT systems, after installing the product, the
floppy drive (normally drive A:) becomes inaccessible. The
diagnostic text says "A:\is not accessible. This parameter
is incorrect".
To fix this situation, do the following:
- Open the file "blackice.ini" using notepad. This file is
located in the
installation directory.
- At the end of that file, add the following line:
starting.i=101
- Close and save "blackice.ini".
- Stop and start the "blackice" service in the Win NT service
list.
- Your floppy drive should now be accessible.
