This document describes issues with SecuRemote. .

DETAILS

CheckPoint's SecuRemote VPN client software creates several "intermediate adapters". Our product doesn't really have to open those adapters, but release 1.8.6.6 and older will; as a result our product fails to become functional. In some cases, it causes unexpected behavior from the system during the system start up process.

To address this, either update the product or ignore the interfaces as follows:

1. Open the file sigs.ini (this is located in the installation directory).
2. Add the following lines to it:

    
   adapter.enabled9999 = false 
   adapter.enabled9998 = false 
   adapter.enabled9997 = false 
   

   Note: The number of entries above may vary. Check your system to verify.

3. Close and save sigs.ini.
4. Restart your system

The product should start working as expected after the system restarts.
