How do I allow access to my machine from a certain IP address that is being blocked by the firewall protection feature?

SUMMARY

To do this, configure protection to "trust" the machine.

DETAILS

1. Open the configuration panel, as described in article q1000019.
2. Select the tab labeled "Intrusion Detection".
3. Click on the "Add" button.
4. Under "Addresses to Trust", type IP address.
5. Check the "Add Firewall Entry" box.
6. Under "Events to Ignore", make sure the "All" box is checked.
7. Click on the "OK" or "Apply" button.
