How do I download and install the product, and what can go wrong.

SUMMARY

This document explains how to install the product after downloading it from either ReleaseNow or Digital River.

DETAILS

When purchasing the product, you go through the following steps:

1. Purchase
2. Save the receipt (Very important!)
3. Download the installation package, which is about 2.4-megabytes.
4. Run the installation package.
5. Supply the license key from the receipt.
6. That's it! The product will begin to run immediately, detecting attacks and blocking them.

This is the way it works for most all customers, but there are occasionally problems.

Running the installation package

If you use Internet Explorer, you can choose to execute the program immediately. You can also save the file to the disk for later installation (note: you can always use your receipt to come back later and download it).

When you download the installation package, the icon should look like the one on the right. There are two problems that we've noticed:

• Sometimes the browser names the file "download.asp". Please change the name to "download.exe" then run it.
