First, please read knowledge base article
q000099. This article explains
the many ways that hackers can attack you.
As described in that article, our products protect
you against remote attacks, which are attacks
that somebody unknown to you launches against your
computer while you are connected to the net. Conversely,
GuardDog protects you against hostile-content from
websites that you visit. (You don't have to visit a site
or actually do anything to be the victim of a remote
attack).
Does one replace the other?
No. GuardDog cannot scan network traffic, and our product
cannot scan website content well.
Do they work together?
They should work fine together on the same computer
with no problems. Our product will watch the network
traffic, GuardDog will watch the website content.
