  • RFC1052 - The declaration of the framework for SNMP
  • RFC1065 -Describes the kind of things stored in MIBs, namely that most objects are "Counters" that simply count statistics that keep incrementing (like total packets routed) or "Guages" which measure things the fluctuate up and down, like internal case temperature.
  • RFC1066 -The basic set of manageable objects that all devices should support, soon obsoleted by MIB-2 and now considered historic and deprecated.
  • RFC1156 -A slight revision of the original RFC1066 in the new SNMPv1 consice MIB format.
  • RFC1067 -Describes the format of the packet as it goes across the wire.
